WANT TO TALK MONEY FIRST?
IS THERE ANOTHER OTHER WAY TO DO BUSINESS?
All our custom literary products (you want us to write something creative for you) are valued at $1 per word to keep negotiations easy. Decide what you want, for instance, a dramatized technical piece or an imaginative creative piece, even a hybrid piece combining both sciences. The hybrid is called an Enterprise Novel, and was applied in the early 30s and 40s under the name Business Novel, and was epitomized by noted author, political, and business philosopher Ayn Rand (Atlas Shrugged) still influencing today's politics and social views. HAS THIS BEEN DONE BEFORE?
WHO WROTE THEM; WHY; and WHAT ARE THEIR TITLES?
We looked this up, and here's what we found in part at:
We included 8 just to name a few: Here's what Wikipedia has to say about these...
- The Godfather by Mario Puzo
The Godfather is a 1972 American crime film directed by Francis Ford Coppola and produced by Albert S. Ruddy from a screenplay by Mario Puzo and Coppola. Starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino as the leaders of a fictional New York crime family, the story spans the years 1945-55, concentrating on the transformation of Michael Corleone from reluctant family outsider to ruthless Mafia boss while chronicling the Corleones under the patriarch Vito.
- American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis
American Psycho is a novel by Bret Easton Ellis, published in 1991. The story is told in the first person by Patrick Bateman, a serial killer and Manhattan businessman. A film adaptation starring Christian Bale was released in 2000 to generally favorable reviews. The Observer notes that while "some countries [deem it] so potentially disturbing that it can only be sold shrink-wrapped", "critics rave about it" and "academics revel in its transgressive and postmodern qualities." In 2008, it was confirmed that producers David Johnson and Jesse Singer were developing a musical adaptation of the novel to appear on Broadway. In January 2013, it was announced that this musical would open in London in December 2013.
- Moneyball by Michael Lewis
Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game is a book by Michael Lewis, published in 2003, about the Oakland Athletics baseball team and its general manager Billy Beane. Its focus is the team's analytical, evidence-based, sabermetric approach to assembling a competitive baseball team, despite Oakland's disadvantaged revenue situation. A film based on the book starring Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill was released in 2011.
- Then We Came to the End by Joshua Ferris
Then We Came to the End is the first novel by Joshua Ferris. It was released by Little, Brown and Company on March 1, 2007. A satire of the American workplace, it is similar in tone to Don DeLillo's Americana, even borrowing DeLillo's first line for its title. It takes place in a Chicago advertising agency that is experiencing a downturn at the end of the 1990s Internet boom. Ferris employs a first-person-plural narrative.
- The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
The Great Gatsby is a 1925 novel written by American author F. Scott Fitzgerald that follows a cast of characters living in the fictional town of West Egg on prosperous Long Island in the summer of 1922. The story primarily concerns the young and mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and his quixotic passion and obsession for the beautiful former debutante Daisy Buchanan. Considered to be Fitzgerald's magnum opus, The Great Gatsby explores themes of decadence, idealism, resistance to change, social upheaval, and excess, creating a portrait of the Jazz Age or the Roaring Twenties that has been described as a cautionary tale regarding the American Dream.
- The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino
The Greatest Salesman in the World is a book, written by Og Mandino, that serves as a guide to a philosophy of salesmanship, and success, telling the story of Hafid, a poor camel boy who achieves a life of abundance. The book was first published in 1968, and re-issued in 1983 by Bantam. A hardcover edition was published by Buccaneer Books in June, 1993. In 1970, Success Motivation Institute purchased the rights to produce the audio recording. If Mandino's suggested reading structure is followed, it would take about 10 months to read the book. The instructions are to read Scroll I (Chapter 8) three times a day for thirty days straight. Only after completing the thirty days of reading Scroll I, should you continue to Scroll II (Chapter 9) and so forth through Scroll X (Chapter 17).
- How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying by Shepherd Mead
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying is a musical by Frank Loesser and book by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock, and Willie Gilbert, based on Shepherd Mead's 1952 book of the same name. The story concerns young, ambitious J. Pierrepont Finch, who, with the help of the book How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, rises from window washer to chairman of the board of the World Wide Wicket Company. The musical, starring Robert Morse and Rudy Vallee, opened at the 46th Street Theatre on Broadway in October 1961, running for 1,417 performances. The show won seven Tony Awards, the New York Drama Critics Circle award, and the 1962 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. In 1967, a film based on the musical was released by United Artists, with Morse and Vallee recreating their stage roles. A 1995 revival was mounted at the same theatre as the original production (now named the Richard Rodgers Theatre). It ran for 548 performances and starred Matthew Broderick and Megan Mullally. A 50th anniversary Broadway revival directed and choreographed by Rob Ashford and starring Daniel Radcliffe and John Larroquette opened on March 27, 2011, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre and ran for 473 performances.
- ATLAS SHRUGGED by Ayn Rand
Atlas Shrugged is a 1957 novel by Ayn Rand. Rand's fourth and last novel, it was also her longest, and the one she considered to be her magnum opus in the realm of fiction writing. Atlas Shrugged includes elements of science fiction, mystery, and romance, and it contains Rand's most extensive statement of Objectivism in any of her works of fiction.
The book depicts a dystopian United States, wherein many of society's most prominent and successful industrialists abandon their fortunes and the nation itself, in response to aggressive new regulations, whereupon most vital industries collapse. The title is a reference to Atlas, a Titan described in the novel as "the giant who holds the world on his shoulders". The significance of this reference appears in a conversation between the characters Francisco d'Anconia and Hank Rearden, in which d'Anconia asks Rearden what advice he would give Atlas upon seeing that "the greater [the titan's] effort, the heavier the world bore down on his shoulders". With Rearden unable to answer, d'Anconia gives his own response: "To shrug". The theme of Atlas Shrugged, as Rand described it, is "the role of man's mind in existence". The book explores a number of philosophical themes from which Rand would subsequently develop Objectivism. In doing so, it expresses the advocacy of reason, individualism, capitalism, and the failures of governmental coercion. Atlas Shrugged received largely negative reviews after its 1957 publication but achieved enduring popularity and consistent sales in the following decades.

- SILVERWORLD & THE WEATHER WARS by Greg and Liz Taylor
Remember the code world “Silverworld”. It applies to a mammoth idea, a coordination of industry and government, which might be of interest to you. It is called the Resource Accommodation Program (RAP). Have you ever heard of it? No? You will, right here, right now. Think back to 2010 to an incident at the newly constructed Tyles enclosure in Nebraska, part of Silverworld. Tyles is a prototype, a four mile by eight mile habitat for dedicated workers in a specialized industry; a facility that has been hardened against inordinate weather and even foreign attack. Tyles is an advanced sub-surface facility that combines a small-town natural environment with that of the most elaborate and largest cruise ships of the last ten years. A luxury liner accommodates up to 7,000 guests, and the Tyles enclosure accommodates between 40,000 and 60,000 people dedicated to working in a given industry. And what does this facility have to do with the Weather Wars? In 2010, during a celebration for completion of the Tyles enclosure, which was then capable of being populated by workers and support staff with their assorted families and pets, all the systems are shut down. Who did it? What does the perpetrator want? What results is a massive video game initiated by the terrorist, bent on a specific agenda. Player 1 is the terrorist. Player 2 is the Director of Computer Services for Tyles, Bobbert Frankling. See what happens when the game is for survival. Welcome to Silverworld.
- ALTOONA ON by Liz and Greg Taylor
Some romances are just down the street, some are in the next town and some are on the other side of the world. Some involve automobiles, aircraft and even ships. In the case of Altoona On, the romance begins in Altoona, PA, goes to Europe and comes back to Altoona. Some things change over time, and some people change over time. In this case, Altoona stays the same over time, and the people stay the same. Set in the backdrop of the earliest parts of the 20th century and through World War I, this love story presents a view of the fledgling intelligence gathering efforts that preceded and continued into the Great War. The characters move among historical sites and personages in an effortless manner, providing the perfect backdrop for a romance and enterprise for the ages.
- THE YOUNG EXECUTIVE'S GUIDE TO PERFECTION by Greg and Liz Taylor
Want to chuckle? Realize this: young executives want to become old executives, and, in turn, old executives want to become young executives. This is the logical order of things. Perfection is the goal of all executives and this guide might provide some interesting aspects in that regard. Whether young or old, perfection is the ideal, so think of this guide as a confirmation of your perfection. A tongue in a cheek is perfectly acceptable in this reading.
- CATTLE CAR BAR by Liz Taylor
Cattle Car Bar (CCB) is a warm, touching, and at times, humorous story of a Chicago Bar with a personality. The characters are colorful, varied, conversational, and the scenes are bright and full of life. CCB is to be experienced as well as enjoyed and brings a warm, personal view of those who created, populated, owned the CCB and were intimately associated with the stock yards of Chicago, beginning before the Depression, and in many ways, still must be revisited. Clement Gray is a remarkable man who came from Granite, Iowa, made his way East on the rail lines, accompanied by a trainload of cattle, and founded CCB, a home to all. This book is dedicated to the EVERYDAY MAN and WOMAN who are characterized respectfully and with appreciation. The author admits that this is one of her favorite books and is one of the stories she most closely identifies with. Part of the reason is her characterization of herself as one of these everyday people. She hopes you agree.
SO HOW DO WE DO THIS?
UNDERSTANDING OUR PROCESSES
to produce enterprise novels or provide you with
a ghost-written novel or play
UNDERSTANDING THE BASES OF OUR STANDARD PUBLICATIONS & DOCUMENTATION SERVICES PRICING. Terms are negotiated at the time of contact, and vary with the Statement of Work (SOW) in each case. Our websites and their documents stand as samples of creative and commercial writing, illustrating, information architectural concepts as well as information engineering principles. This website, and our associated websites, all published works and information, are self-evident and serve as samples and examples.
OUR COMPANY, DUO PUBLICATIONS & DOCUMENTATION R&D, IN BUSINESS SINCE 1991, IS AN ACKNOWLEDGED PUBLISHER OF e-products recognized by the two major e-book channels, Amazon's Kindle and Barnes & Noble's Nook, publishing our e-works since 2010. We provide the actual produce, and related services to all of you requesting ghost books or enterprise novels to get your work in the public arena. Send inquiries to email@example.com, attention Liz. Rates are provided below.
Rate Schedule 1: for those of your requesting commercial, industrial material such as process documents or user manuals which are not available by direct contract, and must be circuited through acknowledged and reputable intermediary consulting companies, sometimes referred to as contract services firms or jobshops. If you wish, we can recommend some, since we have worked with many of these firms since 1972.
Rate Schedule 2: for those of you requesting creative works, such as enterprise novels, ghost written novelettes, novellas, novels, plays, books of poems, non-fiction (like cookbooks, family histories, etc.), alternative pieces; direct contract is the only way to get them. Consider the following:
ENTERPRISE NOVELS AND GHOST WRITING, $3 per word (no up-front costs; copyright transferred at acceptance/delivery); number of words based on those set for the current Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) Nebula Awards.
short stories; 2,500 to 7,500 words (two weeks)
novelettes; 7,501 to 18,000 words (one month)
novellas; 18,001 to 35,000 words (two months)
longer: must be negotiated for availability (200,000 words: approx 1 year)
The terms and conditions we offer are somewhat unorthodox and innovative. Almost all contracts call for money up-front. WE DON'T. Almost all call for incremented payments, for instance, 1/3rd up front; 1/3rd in the middle, and the balance upon completion and acceptance. WE DON'T. If you want a piece written by us, we process your Statement of Work, in which you define what it is you want, the number of words (or the amount you wish to pay, since they are one in the same). If we accept the proposal, we lay out the time to produce your product based on your schedule to review, our schedule of commitments, then we begin work. If our reviews go well, we deliver the work and wait for your acceptance. In all cases, when work is sent for your review, it is important to note that you have agreed to our copyright and will act in accordance with this.
When the work is accepted, you pay $3 per word (based on Microsoft's built-in word count system), and we transfer the copyright, legally, to you. That's it. Now, what if you refuse the work, for one reason or another? No big deal. We still hold the copyright, so we will convert the work in a manner that does not suggest any of your names or references, modify the plot to our liking, and publish it ourselves for fun and profit. There is no obligation...see? Either way, we, personally, get satisfaction, and we would hope that at that point, you will have had, if nothing else, a good time, and that you consider us friends. We like friends, and we have them all over the world. To date, there has never been a refusal, but we have dealt with financial problems; we understand those...who doesn't? It may be hard for some of us to believe, but the world is not perfect.
If you wish to have a cover designed by us, it can be done to a "suggestion" rather than a hard fact (we want to be creative). You can go to Kindle or Nook, put in the key word, Gregory St. John Taylor, and review the covers we have already designed. You can also click HERE to go to Classical Doorway and see them there. Obviously, you can use your own cover, since you will be publishing your own literary product the way you want. After payment, we will transfer the copyright or if you want to acknowledge us as writer, contributors, or such, please do so. It's good for our publicity. If you do not wish to acknowledge us, that's fine too. Price for a cover much like what you see below ranges around $1,000 depending upon complexity.

His technical experience began when it was his job to produce art and text for hardware user manuals, installation guides, repair documents and was then, and is now, an editor, general technical writer, technical MIL-SPEC illustrator born and bred in the Military Industrial Complex beginning in the 1960s, and working in later years for companies such as Martin Marietta of Baltimore, Maryland; Boeing of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; General Electric of Syracuse, New York, Ft. Washington, Pennsylvania and Burlington, Vermont; Sperry, of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania; and All American Engineering of Newark, Delaware, to name a few.
IN CONJUNCTION WITH HIS WIFE LIZ, he produced work for commercial clients, such as Sun Company; Weyerhauser; Wawa; and others in the Philadelphia area, for instance, Chubb National Foam, Lionville, Pennsylvania, which he enjoyed with his daughter, Beth, in documenting a 6-wheel-drive airport foam-distributing truck. Greg also had the pleasure of producing the first ISO-9000 certification quality manual for Chubb. (The company received its certification, in part, due to the quality of the Quality Manual). Greg also served companies outside this area like M&M Mars in Cleveland, Tennessee.
GREG IS A MEMBER OF THE ALPHA-DELTA CHAPTER OF KAPPA SIGMA FRATERNITY AT PENN STATE. In his formative years, he attended the prestigious Admiral Farragut Academy in Tom's River, New Jersey where he became a lifelong sailor with wind and power (featured in their book, Sailing). He also attended the University of Maryland extension in Wiesbaden, Germany, to add to his limited German begun in High School and College.
